Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available to purchase online only at https://www.bigdataspain.org/tickets

Can I change the name on my ticket?

The tickets can be transferable individually only once for the whole duration of the Conference. Please contact: tickets@bigdataspain.org

Can I share my ticket with someone else in between days?

A ticket is only valid for one person and can't be shared in between or during the day.

Can I get a reimbursement of my ticket?

Tickets are not refundable.

Can you issue an invoice for my company to pay for the tickets via wire/bank transfer?

Tickets can only be paid in advance via PayPal or by debit/credit card.

Are there any discounts for group tickets?

No further discounts are available for groups.

What should I expect once I pay for my ticket?

When your register or purchase a ticket, our system will send you an e-mail with your printable credential. You should print the .pdf file and bring it with you to access to the conference.

Does my ticket include catering as well?

Yes! We provide a welcome coffee, a small snack in the morning and a simple lunch including drinks throughout the day.

I have lost my email confirmation, what do I do?

You can have your tickets resent via tickets@bigdataspain.org

I haven't recieved my tickets, what do I do?

Please check the junk mail of your email provider first. If you still cannot find your ticket send and email to tickets@bigdataspain.org

SPEAKING AT THE CONFERENCE

Who can speak at Big Data Spain?

We invite personally the experts and personalities that we deem relevant for the conference. The curation of the program includes a group of experts in the sector that will choose the talks that best suit the conference and its audience.

Can companies submit candidate papers via the Call for Papers?

Only individuals are expected to submit their speaking candidacies. Companies should not submit papers in behalf of their employees.

Do sponsorships include speaking slots at Big Data Spain?

No, speaking slots at the official programme of the conference cannot be bought.

I was selected to speak at the conference via the Call for Papers but I cannot make it. Can a colleague of mine replace me?

No, only the authors of selected papers can speak at the conference.

Why is English the language of the conference?

Whenever there is a choice, English is consistently preferred by our audience and speakers. Less than 2% of the attendees used simultaneous translation facilities English to Spanish when we offered them. Speakers, even the native Spanish ones, do show the same bias to English when asked which language they choose to speak at the event.
