Building Air Quality Model on TB’s of Data and Integrating with IT Systems Using MATLAB and Python

This talk will cover a complete (big) data analytics workflow, exposing the MATLAB and Python interoperability (calling MATLAB from Python and calling Python libraries from MATLAB). Additionally, we will demonstrate building Python packages from MATLAB programs.
The demo consists of a model to predict air quality from current meteorological data. The model will be built on a large amount of data (~1TB) stored on an HDFS cluster. Ultimately, the model will predict air quality for current conditions by location and will be integrated into an existing web application
