Rubén was born in Barcelona (Spain) and has over 20 years of experience on the Information Technology industry.
With a degree in Computing Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, he begins his professional career in 1992 at Apple Computer Spain.
Since then his career had developed covering all fields in software design and development: programming, design, architecture, analysis, development methodologies and team mentoring.
He is expert in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, EJB, Ruby On Rails and and Agile Methodologies, including Test Driven Development and Refactoring and lately he has become interested in the Scala functional programming language.
Some of the key companies he worked for are Apple Computer, QSystems, NeworldCity, ONCE, Nestlé, Porcelanosa, Ayuntamiento de Madrid, RAAC, Wolters Kluwert, Roche and GlaxoSmithKline among many others.
In 2005 he founded Extreme Development, a development company specialized in Java, J2EE, Ruby on Rails and agile methodologies.
This company would be later acquired by Saatchi and Saatchi Health.
Currently, he is Technical Director at Paradigma Digital, Barcelona.
